Chia is not created equal. Where and how Chia is grown has a significant impact on its nutritional properties. The latitude, water source, day length, climate, soil and harvesting methods all play a part in developing nutrition in the seed. The Chia Co chia is grown in Western Australia, because it provides the ideal growing conditions for Chia including latitude, soil type, ample water from Lake Argyle and a distinct dry season for growing Chia. The combination of all these elements is crucial to maximize the Omega 3 content and purity of every seed.
