As a fourth generation farmer John established The Chia Company’s own supply chain under a strict set of environmental management practices that nurture the environment that we grow in.

The Chia Company operates world’s best practice environmental management systems to ensure that the environment benefits from the farming of Chia. The Chia Company farmers are committed to working in harmony with nature by combining traditional natural farming methods, such as gravity fed irrigation, with best practice agronomics and chemical free mechanical harvesting methods. The environment is rigorously monitored and The Chia Company operate crop rotations to ensure that the soil remains nutrient rich and healthy.

Grown In the Perfect Environment

We grow Chia exactly 15 degrees from the equator to ensure the right day length and climate to achieve the perfect nutritional profile. We grow Chia in a dry season and water with gravity fed irrigation. This is an all natural watering system does not use pumps or fuels resulting in a reduction in the environmental footprint.

Traceability

The Chia Company has full supply chain traceability. This means that every packet of Chia you purchase can be traced back to the paddock on which it was grown. The Chia Company grows Chia Seed and takes care of quality at every step of the way, delivering it directly to natural products retailers and consumers around the world. Just like a farmers market but on a global scale. When buying Chia products from The Chia Company you are buying directly from the farms.

Quality Guarantee

The Chia Company has every single batch of Chia tested by an accredited third party laboratory to ensure that it; meets guaranteed nutritional standards, is free from any chemicals, and is clean and pure. This means that when you eat 15g of Chia per day from The Chia Company you can be assured that you are getting 5.6g of fibre, 2.9g of Omega 3 and 3.1g of protein.
