"I am a passionate farmer dedicated to increasing the health and wellbeing of our communities with wholesome, quality, Australian grown food. Leading The Chia Co to become the world's largest producer of chia, together with my business partners, we have developed a new industry and profitable crop option for the Kimberley region and have made quality Chia available to benefit consumers across the globe."
Fourth generation West Australian wheat grain farmer John Foss has a history of agricultural innovation and management and has a serious drive to help increase the health and wellbeing of our communities.
Concerned about global trends impacting food production; water, environmental issues, energy and consumer health and wellbeing, John took the opportunity to research the beneficial dietary properties of Chia while on a global Nuffield study tour. John was amazed by the tiny seeds' nutritional benefits and impressed by his findings he introduced Chia seed for use as a food ingredient in Australian products.
John has lead The Chia Company to now being the world's largest producer of Chia, providing a new industry and profitable crop option for the Kimberley region and benefitting the health and wellbeing of our community.
John is a passionate farmer and Managing Director, and is responsible for the strategic direction and successful growth of The Chia Company.
