Refreshing and nutritious summer drink
Ingredients
- about 250ml of water
- 1 Tbsp dry chia seeds
- a few teaspoons lemon or lime juice
- honey or agave nectar, to taste (optional)
Method
- Stir the chia seeds into the water; let them sit for about five minutes.
- Stir again, and let sit for as long as you like. The more it sits, the more gel-like the seeds and water become.
- Add citrusjuice and sweetener to taste.

Ingredients
- 3 bananas or 2 mangos or 1 punnet of strawberries
- 1 ½ cups milk (whole milk, skim milk, soy milk, almond milk)
- 1 tablespoons honey (optional)
- 2-3 tablespoons White Chia Seed
- 2 cups of water
- 1 cup of ice
Method
- Combine Chia Seeds with water and soak for 20 minutes until a thick gel forms
- In a blender, Blend together Chia Seed gel and remaining ingredients and serve immediately.
Tip: For a thicker smoothie add ½ cup of your favourite yoghurt.

Mango Coconut and Yoghurt Smoothie

Ingredients
- 1 cup diced mango flesh
- 1/2 cup lite coconut milk
- 1/2 cup plain yoghurt
- 1/2 cup skim milk or soy milk
- 1 tablespoon white chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 handful ice cubes
Method
- Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve in a tall glass with a straw.
